Linux Administrator
Seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join ACE & MQ project team. As a Linux Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our Linux-based systems, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and supporting our VMware virtualization stack. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on high availability configurations, shared storage solutions, and cutting-edge technologies.
– Manage and administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems in a virtualized environment using VMware.
– Implement and maintain high availability configurations in Linux environments, utilizing pacemaker and other clustering technologies.
– Oversee shared storage solutions, including NFS and GFS2, to ensure reliability and performance.
– Conduct systems’ lifecycle management tasks, including updating, patching, upgrading, and optimization.
– Analyze existing infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
– Troubleshoot incidents and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation of Linux-based systems.
– Maintain documentation and provide training as needed to enhance team knowledge.
– Proven experience in Linux (RHEL) administration, with a strong understanding of system administration tasks and best practices.
– Proficiency in managing VMware virtualization stack.
– Familiarity with high availability configurations in Linux using pacemaker.
– Experience with shared storage solutions such as NFS and GFS2.
– Knowledge of Red Hat Satellite administration is preferred.
– Ability to perform systems’ lifecycle management tasks, including updating, patching, upgrading, and optimization.
